Have downloaded a few unlocked and locked g2 vision bluechart images they all work on a dakota handheld. but cannot get them to work on my gpsmap 550s.
SD CARD with garmin directory tried renaming .IMG file to GMAPPROM.IMG and GMAPSUPP.img.
Any ideas where I am going wrong.

Is your SD card formatted as FAT32 file system?

I have sorted it now, updated the gps's plotters firmware and all working now.
