produce their own TTS files ??

hey

I wonder if anyone knows how Garmin manufactures its TTS files and which programs are used

I have Swedish ingrid but want to change her voice to another voice

Won't be possible I'm afraid.
Either Loquendo or Nuance is used, for both you get Software to adjust minor things but without the correct settings used by the Garmin you won't be able to do anything :(
And except for Vocalizer voises they are all protected and I think the codes are well hidden.

Perhaps garmin Voice Studio may be of some help.

Then I know what it is that it is technically impossible for a private individual to manufacture their own TTS voices

But I think that one can only produce simple voices with this program and they are not real TTS files I believe but I will try

yes you are right, that app can produce just simple voices, like "turn left, turn right, etc." , for garmin isn't possible to produce tts voices...

But you can do some editing with this app, you can find it
