nuvi 255 very slow

I have a problem with my GPS.
I put the map 2018.10 and since then, the GPS has been very slow.
I replaced the old one that I had 2016.20 but it remains the same. I put a route and the road is very late.
When I do not put a route, the road appears normally.
Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

I have a paste called extdata.
Is this folder that I have to delete?
What is the purpose of this folder?
If I delete the gps it will not stop working?

Try this:
1 Copy your favorites to PC and delete it from nuvi ( /Garmin/gpx/Current.gpx )
2 Upgrade nuvi f/w to the latest one and power nuvi off
3 Make the nuvi reset ( Press and hold the lower right corner of the screen and power nuvi on till question of reset. Stop to press the screen and click 'yes' )
4 Insert card with NT map ( not NTU ) and power nuvi on
5 Restore your favorites ( rename Current.gpx to Restore.gpx, copy to /Garmin/gpx/ to nuvi and power nuvi on. Then delete Restore.gpx from nuvi )

Why do I have to rename Current.gpx to Restore.gpx if you tell me to delete it later.
If I delete the file Current.gpx directly it will be not the same?

I don't have user data on the menu, just extdata...

How many maps you do have on the device? Sometimes if you have more than one map for the same region confuse some devices and delay their performance!

Also at your menu may appear a NON Volume data try to clear them

I only have one map and as I told you before, it was at the time that I put the 2018.10 map that got really slow.
I again put the map that I had 2016.20 but still slow.

Well, to say what GPS is still slow once I put the new radars.
