Hello everyone,
This is my first post to this forum. I have been looking around the forums for about an hour about "How do I download Garmin or any other GPS software to my SD card for my in car nav system?"
[Please Register or Login to download file]

This is my first dive into the GPS world, any help would help.

Thanks, you can PM me

Hello, welcome @ NaviTotal!
First you must know, that Garmin has it's own Linux-based operational system that normally only works on Garmin devices. There are some exceptions from this rule (for Symbian, WinCE, Android), but they are fairly old or experimental. Streetpilot for iOS is the only official software version for non Garmin devices.

Since your device runs WinCE you can try this version: http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?2329-Garmin-Mobile-XT-CE-for-Chinanavi-with-800x480

Various maps you find in the New Maps section, all City Navigator NT are possible, unlocked image versions are recommended for beginners.

Any other OS for GPS that I can use than that would be easier to install into my touch navigation system

Install another OS ????? Thus another firmware and a big chance to brick your device definitively ??? This must be a misunderstanding.

You certainly mean install other GPS software than Garmin. IGO, Primo or Sygic then come to mind. Take a look around this forum and use the search function. It's there for a reason.

Since I advised several programs, we can only guess what software from which you tried to download.
And the solution would be to PM the uploader, because he - and only he - is responsible for his uploads.
