Tue Jun 15, 2010 2:57 pm

Have a brand new 421 and dl:d the img files for my areas and a 2GB SD card. What do I need to do to make this work? Missing the instructions that were lost on the old site...

If you have Unlocked image rename it GMAPSUPP.IMG and copy it to SD-Card \garmin directory

If you have Locked image rename it GMAPSUPP.IMG
Use Jetmouse keygen and make GMAPSUPP.UNL file for it Jetmouse keygen

Thanks alot! This worked immediately, what I missed was just the /Garmin folder on the SD. Say, does the speed of the SD card affect the speed of the GPS when zooming and panning?

Yes, if you have fast SD-Card then it read details more quickly. SDHC cards not compatible all devices see your manual what card and class it support

Hi there...I don't understand. Please clarify. I got the gmapsupp.img (I think it's a locked image). I have jetmouse keygen and input all the info, generated sw unlocked code and map unlock code. But i don't know what the next step is. How do i get gmapsupp.unl file? or the unlocked image? Please help. thanks.
