After I posted, I did re do the route in mapsource from scratch using the imported waypoints. Great so far, but still NO route when I look in My Data-Routes.

I posted the new route so my friends could review it before our motorcycle ride this weekend and so far no complaints from them. I will be using mapsource to create routes from now on, then convert those to .kml for the igo8 and tomtom (one rider uses this one).

Looks like I'll keep using igo8 as my primary gps since I can't transfer the routes to Garmin XT.


Edit: I don't know what happened, but the route transfer finally worked!! Actually, I know what happened. The device has to be connected to the computer, transfer to the sd card using a reader did not work. Garmin needs to be running and on the first screen that appears after tapping I agree. Only then can you transfer the route, maps, and waypoints from Mapsource to GM XT.

@theWolfTamer you're great man, I will try your solution for transfer routes in GarminXT.
