MapSource version of Colombia map PAMACOL?

Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:32 am

Hi and thanks for making the Colombia map PAMACOL v.9.4 + 9.6 .img file available. As I'd like to load a card with several South American maps is it possible to create a MapSource version of Pamacol? Thanks.

or you can do next, put name of one mapset on your sd card, gmapsupp.img for another mapset gmapsup2.img and for main map gmapprom.img - this is located on internal memory of your device.

What's your device !? Always when ask for some help, provide more as you can details and informations!

The Colombia map PAMACOL file is a gmapsupp.img The tutorials for converting to MapSource format look like they start off with the individual map tiles, not the wrapped up gmapsupp.img file. To try to split gmapsupp.img into the individual tiles I've had GMap Tool GUI v0.7c running for about 9 hours with the "Extract map and import into MapSource" option selected but it's still running.

Is this the correct method? Can a gmapsupp.img file be converted back to MapSource? Thanks again.

It's not important for img file name, just follow instructions on that tutorials, use tools like gmap tool , csgmapper, etc which you can find on that links...

If that tutorials are complicated to you, use this one from link bellow, i think is really child's play to do ;)
