Mapsource error while loading maps

Fri Jun 29, 2012 7:39 pm

While trying to load new maps with mapsource I get this error.
It seems there is a conflict between the old version of CNE and the old one.
Any advice to remove this conflict or to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance

No, I don't think that it is a conflict between various map versions.

It seems to be an access issue.

Which Windows version do you have?
Which Mapsource version do you use?
Which path for the maps do you use?

The laptop that's giving the problem is using windows 7
Mapsource is patched version 6.16.3
The maps are under Mapsource/maps on a DVD as a portable.
When I install it on the harddrive the problem stays.
There was an older Mapversion on the laptop and CNE 2010.10 and it was deleted.

Put the gmap folder or a link to it in hidden folder:
Code:
C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\

I've never had conflicts between different City Navigator versions, if they where installed correctly, neither with classic MapSource format nor with gmap format.

Me neither. This is the first time I encouter this problem using a portable version of mapsource with CNE.
So the alternative will be a complete install of CNE on the laptop.
Is there another way to clean the register from Garmin keys than regedit?
