Map problem with DriveSmart 50

Nobody ever had a similar problem with chosen route not following roads?

Is it a device other than the zone of another country? If yes, you need to unlock first.

Hi again,
Have just spent a couple of days going through all I could think of before trying GarminNuvi's latest map.
Checked in with Garmin Express - up to date.
Ran onboard US maps in "Simulated Mode" - worked fine.
Ran 5.90 Patch again.
Ran US maps again in "Simulated Mode". Still worked fine.
Ran City Navigator Thailand 2020.40 FID 8767 on newly formatted FAT 32 Sandisk Extreme 32GB SD card.
Exactly the same as before. Without choosing a destination the unit follows the roads driven.
Choose a destination and the "Lilac Route" will not stay on roads.
I really have no idea what is going on with this. Am I the only one this has happened to?
