Hi, well im a kind of new on this GPS things, the thing is i got a device MIO C220 that was runing miomaps 3.2 i formated with a new firmware that gave me a clean Windows CE 5.0, i tried to run garmin xt for ce running the que.exe file but the only thing that i get is this error" que.exe is not a valid windows CE application" i lloked for this error on thousands of pages and couldn't find the solution.

If anyone here could help me with this, maybe a lil tutorial i really apreciate that

How you run gmxt ,
did you use mio unlock program , try executable check.ece to see which parts of program are missing.

Did you read and follow this thread? All you should need to do is download and install the program from my first post and then add your own content.

Hi chas521 and thanks for answers , yes i already read the whole post and i tried to run garmin xt from the file Garmin\RunGMXT\Garmin.exe , the error that i get is: "Cannot find 'garmin' (or one of its components.) maybe i got some dlls lost or something here i got to ask peters where i can find this check.exe file to check the missing files?

Did you download MY program from the link I gave you? If so, then nothing is missing. And check your unlock, the path may be incorrect. BTW, where did you get the unlock and which one are you using?

EDIT: Also did you properly create an .UNL using the keygen and save as "all files"? If not, you will get that error. Instructions on how to use keygen are in the download.

Well i got the next unlocked firmware (Custom firmware ithink is an unlocked one cause it shows the desktop of the wince and allows to run another aplications)

This is based on ROM R08.3 (NA) and has the explorer (taskbar) and all office components added. (doesn’t work with C250!)

OK in the last hour i reloaded an official firmware downloaded from these link, and unlocked my device with Mioscript 3.24r , i downloaded again the GARMIN XT from ur post to be sure( cause i download tons of others ) but now when i execute the que.exe file i get this error " Cannot find 'que' (or one of its components). This seems like i need to get some adittional libraries :/ Any sugestions???

I want you to use this instead. I want you to install this to your flash internal drive. Backup your internal first [in case something goes wrong] and then delete everything so you have a clean internal. Your device is 320_240 while this unlock is for 480_272 so you should go into the 'Main" files in Miomap and change the numbers. Don't forget to save before exiting. Then install my Garmin d/l to your SD card.

ok it took me a lil longer but finally did it i change every main files the 320_240 screen resolution, and unlocked the C220 with ur unlock soft, i saw on the top right the garminXT button but ..... i once again get the error "Cannot find 'Garmin' (or one of its components). " and the same for all the others navs it looks like in fact some libraries on the core of wince are lost , and also got the same error trying to enter to settings, mp3 player, etc

ima gonna try to use the check file (Thanks peters) and see what happens

Any other sugestions?? maybe to load a full wince. if you have 1 send me a link :D ;)

Did you create a SW.UNL using the keygen and save as "all files" in notepad? It goes into the Garmin folder root.2083


EDIT: I also don't understand what you are talking about regarding the other navs. I thought we're only working with Garmin XT - right?

and the comment about the other navs its just to remark that anyone was working either.

I haven't done this for a long time now. But what happened when you pressed "about"? Didn't you get a card number? Without the .unl, the program won't work. You need to have the SD card in the GPS device when doing this.

EDIT: BTW, what country are you from? Igo 8.3 is a great program with TTS. No TTS in Garmin.

Ok the thing is , i cant press ABOUT cause you only can see the button 'about' when GARMIN XT is already running . I reflashed n reloaded wince to the device, and unlocked with a simple explorer aplication, i tried to run garmin.exe but it seems that a window try to open but dissapear in less than a sec, executing "que.exe" i get the same old error

BTW im from Bolivia, and the only map that i found all over the internet for my country only works with garmin navs, thats why im trying to make it work :D

I'm working on Bolivia. Maybe I'll get lucky. As far as I can see, there is no reason why you can't get Garmin to work on your c220. It works perfectly on my Mio C320 with the program and unlock that I posted here and it does NOT execute through que.exe. The only real difference between the two devices is the resolution [that I can see]. Your port and baud should be 1, 57600. Even if there were a resolution error, the program still should execute so you could get to the settings/about screen. Did you at least get to a point about the license in the program?
