Garmin Mobile Xt on Mio C310

Postby mojonba » Sat Dec 11, 2010 9:47 pm

chas, Im aware your trying to help, I am just listening to pietu as well. Remember I started off with an upload from Black Wolf (see post #1). The only edit I have made is to the Garmin.mscr stated in the thread, otherwise the taskbar would be in the way and I would have been unable to unlock etc etc.

I understand that you're confused. Believe me, it makes sense! I want you to do ONLY what I told you. Start all over again. 1. You downloaded the program that I uploaded direct from my Mio c320. Do NOT make ANY changes to anything. Follow the instructions I told you in post #2. However, skip find the GPS satellite signal and go on.

Do you know how to install my Garmin program to your SD card? Delete all from your SD card unless there is something I don't know about. BTW, that was MY download not BlackWolf.

EDIT: If you follow my direction, you will be up and running very quickly. BTW, where do you live and would you be interested in an additional GPS program?

I dont have your version from your c320 but I'll be happy to try it out. Were can I get it from? There nothing in my sd card except the miomap folder with the maps for the mio program. Nothing less, nothing more. Install? I am installing by extracting the files onto the sdcard. Is there another way, let me know?

Unlock using this: [Please Register or Login to download file] Unzip it, go to launchpad, main. Open all one by one and change the height and width numbers 480 to 320 and 272 to 240. Don't forget to save the file before exiting.

Program here: http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?1274-Garmin-Mobile-XT-for-WinCE5.0-program post #1 Using Winrar, extract the program from the first page where only the Garmin folder is showing to your SD card.

Follow post #2 and post #14 - exactly. http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?3925-Garmin-Mobile-Xt-on-Mio-C310&p=24563#post24563

EDIT: Do you know how to create the SW.UNL using Notepad?209620972098

Chas again I appreciate your help but Im not interested in installing a Launchpad with nice icons etc, etc. For now I just want to see Garmin running. Also c320 i believe runs WinCE 5 while my c310 runs WinCE 4.2. Anyway I downloaded the garmin xt version you linked and tried it out. Does not even launch via the Garmin.mscr or the Garmin.exe.

Then try this version[s] - it's an earlier one. [Please Register or Login to download file] [Please Register or Login to download file]

I read somewhere else that these packaged versions (5.00.20 & 5.00.10) are setup with a wince5 coredl2.dll and that i should go to setting Apps\WM\ and use the coredl2.wince4.dll instead. I did and I am now able to launch and use the program but only if I launch via Apps\Wm\Que.exe. It runs without display glitches but I have to manually hide the taskbar via the exe. The Garmin.exe/Garmin.mscr in the RunGMXT folder do nothing. Is there any drawback of launching via que.exe?

have you mortscript installed ?

attached file contain mortscript, copy some where (eg. \windows\ ) and start mortscript.exe one time, then it is installed and you can run .mscr files

yes mortscript is installed, it comes with all the packaged versions. when it is not installed windows return an error about no recognizing mscr files. i do not get that error. and the Garmin.mscr script we dealt with on the first page for version 4.20.50 works, but it doesnt not for the 5.00.10/5.00.20.
