delete map transfered with mapsource

Postby errtu » Tue Jul 24, 2012 3:53 am

I transferred a map with Mapsource to my garmin nuvi 1490. It was an IMG file converted with MapSetToolKit and transferred to Mapsource that way.

I then transferred it to my gps, but the resulting map didn't have the search function available "no map data"or something like that.

So... since it doesn't work I wanna delete it but I don't know how to do that.

Anyone?

PS. I tried resetting the device to factory settings (turn it on while pressing lower right corner, didn't delete the map, dont know why).

Hook up your GPS to your PC, look for the map and simply delete the file. The file name is "gmapsupp.img" and you wil probably find it in the "Garmin" folder or "Map" folder.

...then you haven't transferred the map to device!
Could it be possible, that you have sent the map to SD?
