Cannot add two gmapsupp.unl on the same garmin folder..Any s

Hi,

I've a Garmin 1310T, I added on the SD card/Garmin folder one generated UNL file (gmapsupp.unl) for travel guide (LEX_PKG) and I need to add as well an unloked CN image map in the same Garmin folder that also required another unl file under the same name (gmapsupp.unl) which is not possible without replacing the old one.

Is there any smart solution for this? Like renaming one unl file for example to (gmapsup2.unl) or whatever?

Thanks in advance.

Hello
I have nokia n 96 with garmin xt and there is only one unl. i use 4 maps with this.
in my unl is the code from the extern sd card installed. i send my maps with mapsource to my device and unlock the maps in mapsource.
you can try to unlokc the maps in mapsource an send free maps to your device or write the 2. number in the unl.
bye

You can have two maps with the following names...

gmapprom.img and gmapsupp.img and then have the coresponding UNLfiles for each map.

You could also have one map on the GPS and the other map on the SD card.

Regards to all

latest software update from garmin supports multiple file names with ".img" extension on specific folder on most latest nuvis' and hand held models. try this out > update your nuvi to the latest software via garmin dashboard or webupdater. create a folder in the SD card named "map". you can have multiple number of map files in that folder with any file name with the extension of ".img" (US201210.img, EU201210.img, topoUS24.img etc...) works for me!
BTW, what's this UNL file? (gmapsupp.unl) what does it do? why i never needed such?
