RAC SatNav 315?

RAC SatNav 315?

Postby Foxeye » Sun Apr 24, 2011 3:49 pm

Hi,

I'm in need of help figuring out what maps this SatNav uses and where to get them!?

From the information screen it says :-

Route 66 Mobile 8WM 8.0.4565 (15127)

Copyright 1993-2008 Route 66
Copyright 2008 Navteq

Version of operating system 5.0
Device name: Longhorngogo900

The filename of the map is :-

United Kingdom & Ireland 2008-Q3.map

I would like to update the maps on it for my father-in-law.

Any pointers would be helpful.

Thanks

I don't know much about Route66 but these devices are easy to unlock and/or run other software like iGO or Tomtom.

Thanks for your reply.

Changing it into a TomTom would only confuse him more! :)

If I could just find out what type of maps it uses then I could try and search for them, I found some Navteq Europe but they have a .FBL file extension!?

Thanks again

I've never used Route66 so i don't know how to update the maps but one of our members might...

.fbl maps are for iGO so won't be compatible with Route66
