Auto On/Off For windows CE5.0

Postby Fatboyfun » Thu Apr 11, 2013 8:13 pm

The Navman/Mio Moov/Spirit devices call a little routine within the GPS app to shut down gracefully (ie, complete disk operations, etc...) when the button is pressed, or the switch is turned to 'Off'.

On some versions unlocking the device disables the suspend feature, It can however, be enabled again with a little app.

However this means you need the right unlock for these devices, or you'll end up with a nice illuminated paperweight.

There is a number of 'features' with these devices that i'd have done differently, The #1 issue is the USB connection detection NOT being handled by WindowsCE, which means lots of bricked devices if the owner tries to unlock without doing any research first.

Fatboyfun,

I downloaded your program " Auto power off with dialog box " and made a shortcut on the desktop of my navman S50 sd card. when i turn the car ignition off the auto power off box does not show up on the screen.

I am using Primo 2.4 with Mio Moov Unlock, am i doing something wrong ?

I don't fully remember my own programme.

You run the exe indicated and it runs it, or stops it, I don't remember if it tells you it's running, it may not seem to do anything.
