Postby demol » Thu May 20, 2010 8:45 am

Hello Navitotal,

I have here a Asus A620bt Pocket PC and i want to install TomTom on this 'old' machine.
The PDA is Running on MS Pocket PC v4.20.0 / Microsoft Pocket PC 2003.
I've got a 2gig Flash Card to work with.
Is this even possible and if so what TT version is needed.
I allready tried some 6 and 7 versions but most of them install, show off the icon but when i try to lauch nothing happens so i cant finalise my installation.:girl_cray:

Bye Bye.:55:

Hi Demol,

I had an HP 6515 for several years (Pocket PC2003 SE) and could only run TT Navigator 6 on it, which means you can only get maps up to version 6.75 which are rather old (several years old). I flirted with Navigator 7 on it several times, but each install didn't work properly for one reason or another.
Sorry mate, but my advice would be to upgrade to WM5 or 6 device so you can run navcore 7.916 and latest maps (8.45 currently for all but Taiwan which is already at 8.50).

Sorry, know it's not what you wanted to hear!

Cheers.

Hi Demol. you can run Tomtom 6 with 6.75 maps on a pocket Pc 2003 i.e.4.20, but you will lose the screen rotate because tomtom removed it on vers6 probaly due to rotate being within the OS for 2003se, you would be better if you can find a upgrade to 2003se and then you can certailnly run TomTom 7.50 with 720.1802 maps, I beleive this also runs under 2003 but cannot be certain due to upgrading to se before trying, I currently have this on A Mio168 upgraded to 2003se, hope this helps
