If it`s GLX file, you ought to copy it into Garmin/GLX folder.

I am working hard to find out how to make other files sources (SD, USB) active in File Manager from the hidden menu.

Maybe you should try to include GLX folder with that file on your update stick ?

Nope, I checked it. There is no GLX files nor folder on my CTP13 ...

Hi Subuk!

In Nuvi is a Folder called "Text". There are many language files there....

In our car is nothing to find...I have checked all folders in secret menu, nothing. I don´t know, where there hide all language file.

And I`m a little bit afraid to install a unknown file, maybe this could damage everything.

PS: Are you able to install Garmins Cyclops? I can install it without any problems, but nothing happened.
Only SCDB Radartraps are working!

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, I use custom POI database with speed cameras, dangerous spots etc for Poland. It`s always up to date and works great in general (including my native language comming out of speakers) but its most annoying and probably only issue is that it warns when you approach the point, no matter of direction. It warns you about the speed camera always, even when it`s mounted to monitor the oncomming traffic.

I am not into Garmin navigation systems, becuase CTP13 is my very first device based on this system.
During last update to 2014.20 I included TrafficProvider.xml file as it was installed by GarminExpress on my usb with nuvi`s GarminDevice.xml
I do not know what this file is for but it seems to be copied into CTP`s memmory.
Previously I bricked my CTP fatally installing 2014.20 downloaded from navitotal links.
It was showing loads of some strange traffic-like info on the boot screen below the Fiat logo and then it was rebooting.
Now it`s just OK.
I had to perform a lot of strange activities to revive my CTP ;-) Even the main factory Fiat service in Poland had no idea how to bite it :-D

Wow, you are a engineer....

But I had here the same situation like yours,,,, I asked Fiat some questions, nothing....I wrote Garmin to the US, CTP13 is not there system. I wrote to Chrysler, they send me to Fiat, Fiat has no idea....

A strange world...

Ok, anyway, If you want, you can take SCDB database for radar traps.

PS: If you compare a Nuvi and CTP13, press on the Mainscreen, settings, and there must be a Provider information about TMC...but not in CTP13!
I wrote to Chrysler again, I hope they can help.

Have a nice evening,

Mike

Does CTP13 support TMC ? :-)

Mon Oct 14, 2013 5:10 pm

Sure, you have a little green circle when you are in map mode!

This shows you all delays in your area!

Mon Oct 14, 2013 5:16 pm

I do not have any green cirlce ... maybe there`s no TMC in my village ...

300319 what does your "Subscriptions" says in CTP`s Traffic options ?

Is this 430N ? First of all you have to be sure what is the name of your system :-) Then ask a question in appropriate thread. This one is regarding RB5 8.4N (CTP2012,CTP13) :apple:

I will be very glad to point me. Thanks.

@subuk

If you Receiver from your local Radio Station via speakers in your Car Traffic Information,
Your Garmin should show it!
If Not, it Might to be a Software Problem.

Maybe you can Update your Garmin with 3.15 Software again. Maybe this will fix it....

About my questions to Chrysler, Fiat ..... I'm still Waiting for a Solution.

Do you have similar options / subscription in your CTP ?

EDIT:

I just started a new thread regarding the possibility of file trasfer between internal CTP`s Garmin memory and other sources (SD Card, USB Flash Drive) - link below:

Do all CTP13's have this option or is this only on the non-US versions?

I'm curious if a US model can get traffic data without needing to hava a subscription to Sirius satellite.

Probably yes; Because TMC is provided through standard FM frequencies ? :-)
