Good Afternoon folks,

I am trying to update my Nieces 2013 Charger RB5 CTP17 to last update given by Uconnect (Here) 2020. I bought off ebay unused update deal. I went through the same steps I did few years ago except now if gives me an error of

"System error.

The device file on the USB is not properly formatted."


This even does it with my original stick trying to redo my own maps (which are already unlocked to my radio. I feel they have now completely dropped support including map activation for the older RB5s.

I've searched here and found several tools mentioned but nearly ever link I find is dead.

My question is, is there a program I can put the radio unit ID in, and generate unlock code or unlock said maps or will it just brick the unit?

I am not even worried about updating to 2025 maps just at least 2020 if possible.

These guys often get the maps from us but installing is their game.
