Navman 520 not seeing the SD card

Postby navboy » Wed Feb 01, 2012 6:33 pm

I wanted more room so that I may put more maps on the igo 8, So I bought an 8GB SD card and popped that in the unit, but it doesn't find the card..! it came FAT 32 which is the same has the other one that was in it, so I formatted it again then put all maps back on, still the navman will not see it, anyone had this and know why its doing it, is it too big being an 8GB...? when I put back in the 2GB it picks it up.

That's because a 2GB card is the maximum size card the device will accept, unless you can find the 4GB non SDHC card.

According to the specs I have seen on that device:
SD memory cards up to 4GB
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

If it's not SDHC then yes.

If we're talking about the Navman ICN520 then it does not support SDHC, It will however support a 4GB SD card.
