GPS Maps for a train?

Hi,

I shall be traveling in Italy by train. Does anyone know if there are any GPS maps for passenger trains?

Why would anyone need that?
Easiest option would be to use a GPS software without "lock to road" and a map that covers the area.
Even a standard smartphone with Google maps will be enough.
