Can Anyone Manipulate APK Files?

I have a copy of Android CoPilot I would like to use but it only saves maps to phone. I need a few maps and not enough room to download them. If I move the files to the SD card it will created more and not recognise my maps I have already downloaded so end up going round and round. Is this a APK setting that can be changed?

You can disassemble the apk with apktool, however it's not going to be easy to find the part of code you need to edit, it may have to be changed in several places. And then you have to recompile it again.

Ach that's a bummer. Ill keep it installed anyway with the UK map as something may change later. I am around 2GB when done and only have 1.5 free on the phone what is no good.
