Becker Ready 43 Traffic messed up everything

Postby dribnif » Tue Nov 01, 2011 7:12 pm

Hi everyone,

I think I managed to mess up my new ready 43 traffic. First of all, let me tell you that I have read all the 43-related posts here and even tried http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?6406-Becker-Ready-43-Traffic-Adding-more-country-maps this suggestion. I basically get OUT OF MEMORY errors whenever I try to run anything.

I think I messed up the licenses folder. Any idea what I could do to get the system back to its initial state? I have no backup of my licences folder or data.zip. I would really appreciate your professional input in this.

Thank you!

Why do you think you messed up the license folder?
How come the "out of memory" errors?

What I am asking is what did you do exactly to get in to this trouble ?

Hi nabi, thanks for your quick reply.

What I did is this: did a backup of my iGO8/CONTENT folder and then replaced it with the one from my other Becker device, a Z113 (Traffic Assist). Then I copied over the licenses as well, from the Z113 to the Ready 43 Traffic. The goal was to get Eastern Europe on the Ready 43. My naive assumption was that copying stuff over just like that would work. What I also copied over from the Z113 was data.zip but I sort of forgot to back this one up to my machine.

When this didn't work, I googled and found the solution in the thread I linked to in my first post. I tried that but the same thing happens. I also have an error log that you can read here: [Please Register or Login to download file] .

Any idea how to get things up and running again? Would a full copy of the content from the z113 work? Probably not...

Sorry for my idiocy. And thanks for the help.

Backup your old iGO, then later replace the iGO files with the files for Ready 43 I will upload in 30 minutes and add your maps, voices, languages, ...
