You have to burn both on dual-layer DVDs with book type set to "DVD-ROM"
Verified, works perfectly!

DVD1 is an ISO + MDS file, you need to open the MDS file to burn it.
DVD2 is an MDF + MDS file, again you need to open the MDS file to burn it.

These are just different formats, the MDF is just like the ISO, just a bit more advanced. Use ImgBurn ([Please Register or Login to download file] ), free and great application to burn both on dual-layer DVDs. (I used Verbatims.) Before writing, click on the little book icon in the right bottom corner of ImgBurn and change the book type to DVD-ROM, and then your RNS-E should recognize it. ImgBurn can of course handle both formats, just give it the MDS files!

Hi guys, I've got a 2007 Audi A4 and still have the original Sat Nav DVD's that came with the car. Will this method you are talking about work for me if I want to upgrade my Sat-Nav? I've spoken to an AUDI dealership who said the DVD I need is made by AWTC Europe and the part number is 8P0O6O884BE. He reckons it'll cost me £200! That is money I'm not willing to spend! Any tips?

Yes, this is the *BE version. The end of the part number is BE, so it will work in your car.

Hi all, I've downloaded the software and followed the instructions on burning it to DVD. I burned the mds files onto a Verbatim DVD +R DL and the burner i used is a Sony Optiarc DVD RW AD-7260S ATA Device. I used ImgBurn to burn the DVD and when I clicked on the Book in the bottom right corner I couldn't find my burner so couldn't set it to DVD-ROM. When I put the DVD into the car it updated the software which was promising but after updating the software it then wouldn't recognise the DVD. It would just ask me to insert SAT-NAV DVD. What have I done wrong? Is it important which device you use to burn the disc? Any recommendations on a Burner to use and where to get one? Thanks in advance!
