Its a voice file, put the zip file in content\voice but this is only as good as whatever engine you use. Works well with svox victoria.

POI
Are you using a seperate mapchanger? If so then make sure that show poi is selected as well as maps inside the mapchanger settings.
Poi files go in content\poi.
Do poi files match the map you are using? NQ map and NQ poi, TT map and TT poi.

But isn't svox victoria is only good for 2 weeks unless I pay?

Yes, POI files are in content\poi and the latest Here 2013q3 for map & poi. When I do search, only thing I see are my favorites, nothing else.

Try using latest Lucky Patcher - or buy it.

Try deleting your save folder. Try putting Israel back on again. Always delete this folder when making changes to iGO.

Doesn't look like iGo version has anything to do with the TTS issue. I did a clean installation of iGo 9.6.29.383117 and found the following:
1) If I go to "system setting" -> "language & input" -> "text-to-speech output" and then setup TTS with any TTS engine.
2) Start iGo -> TTS is available and I can use it for navigation.
3) Exit iGo
4) Restart iGo, TTS disappears.
If I repeat step 1, TTS comes back and the cycle repeat.
This is done on a LG F6 with Android 4.1.2

You must tick "Always use my settings" in language & input settings. If this is not selectable then that suggests to me that the tts engine is not installed correctly. Nothing else I can suggest really.
Have you tried it on a different phone at all.

Does anyone know the system text entry/mod to avoid iGO voice (TTS or non TTS) to pause the mp3 music player.
I want iGO announcements set on top of my MP3 music to avoid annoying music interruptions every 2 min... :-)
iGO 2.4 Israel on SGS5 android 4.4.2

I also can't get iGo to do TTS. I only see the default voice listed, and Pro isn't an option. What did I do wrong?

The problem is definately within iGo: It checks the language of both the available voice files and the installed TTS engine. Can be seen here:
<SPRITE class=icon_bottom left=11% bottom=15% z=200 bmp="ico_vr_available.bmp#3" visible=(%regional.current_language.lcid == %*.lcid && %*.is_tts && lua.VR.IsLCIDSupported(%*.lcid))>

Somehow this goes wrong. Why should iGo check if the current language is equal to the language of a voice file?
I tried to change the language of the voice files, but even that doesn't work (maybe because I don't know what the system returns as language)

btw: I need Dutch (NL) and have both Google and SVOX. iGo only works with Google english, despite all those different TTS voice files in iGo.
