Connecting Android Phone to TomTom Home

Is it possible to connect an android phone with a tomtom app installed to TomTom home for upgrading map corrections and possibly purchasing HD Traffic ?

I havent tried but i would suggest sticking the sd card into pc and starting tomtom home or my tomtom

Tried that but the card isnt recognised in either card reader or android phone ( by tomtom home )
