You probably need to add your baud and port rating entries to the sys.txt.

baud = 38400 These are only examples. May not be your numbers.

Incidentally, how is the resolution now with this version?

EDIT: BTW, how long are you giving to see the GPS satellite lock? The first time could take as long as 20 minutes.

Great news,for me anyway,all up and running!I put back a cut down version of sys.txt and deleted all references to resolution etc.Now starts every time.As you are correct in saying,after initial sat lock of 25 minutes,now locks almost instant.The picture is excellent on my Archos 10 inch tablet.Only thing I would really love now is a link to a Dinka skin that would work with this install.I tried one I found on my PCM but it doesn't show in the skins folder.Thanks very much for all your help in getting this up and running.
