bloodraft wroth: I want to give you my feedback for tomtom europe: When i install all your files in my internal sdcard ,tomtom forces closed and reboot itself permanently , BUT I found a way to make it works!:
1- In the folder "files/VAutoTTS" , you have to delete two files :Vauto.Paulina.version and Vauto.Samantha.version
2- in the folder "files/VAutoTTS/languages", you have to delete two folders : ENU and SPM
After that tomtom works like a charm! (if i try to put them back, all goes wrong!)

And I can confirm to that all working after that :)

Have fun :)

I confirm I had to delete these files to make tomtom europe work on my galaxy s2.
Files were downloaded from another torrent.

Thanks so much!

Can both the UK and US maps be run by installing just 1 apk or are both needed? Any help appreciated as I am getting a Galaxy S next week.

Hi, thanks for confirming this. I have successfully installed the UK apk and Asia apk on to my Galaxy S3, this was using the maps downloaded from one of the torrents and using pawel_1980's modded apks (thanks). TomTom can start ok, for both Uk and Asia and it can also find the maps but the mapping colour is very bizarre, see screenshot - It's all yellow!

Anyone know if this is a compatibility issue rather than an installation issue? For info, My S3 is running Android 4.1.1.

Any info on how I can get the maps to render correctly?
Thanks all, appreciate the help!

even works on Android 4.1.2 (leaked version) on Galaxy S3

For anybody else that's got the same issues that I had (maps not rendering correctly) then this reply is for you... I've solved the problem, I hadn't copied the full contents of the directory from the torrent to my phone. Once I had copied it all the maps render fine.

Thanks all.

I have done it! But only inthe internal memory not inthe external SD.
I had even to put only small maps because memory is small. I am awaiting for suggestion how to put big maps in SD (without toot).

Does anyone have speedcams for Western-Europe or Benelux?

fischermann wrote:Does anyone have speedcams

Currently, it is not possible to add speedcams in the traditional way. This would require an in-app purchase that you cannot do without a retail version/install (and it's not free...yearly subscription).
A workaround is described in the first post:
You can add your own POIs by using the TomTom *.ovl/*.bmp files available at places like POI Plaza. Put any custom POI files on the SD Card in tomtom\com.tomtom.{region name}\files\{region map name}\*.*

From such places as POI Plaza you can obtain speedcam POIs and add them as described. They will show on the map screen, but the negative is that there will be no audio warning. Maybe somebody will come up with a better way, but as far as I know, this is all that works at this time.
