@huntsman

Many links are down. Can you repack as a torrent? Thanks

Actually, not necessary to repack all the content (that is already mostly available in Torrents), but just the modified APKs for those that have SD Card path issues.

Guys, there's no need to quote the whole post, either cut out what's not relevant to you, use @huntsman or send a private message.

I've edited the posts accordingly!

However, I did not use 'airplane mode'...I just pull down the status bar and toggle both WiFi and Data off.
Maybe airplane mode disables more than you think? Or maybe you had a previous version that got nailed with a license check?
I only know it works for me.

If the path to the data on your device is anything other than:
//mnt/sdcard/tomtom/com.tomtom.*
it will not work as it is.

I have a tablet Samsung Galaxy! How do I change the path?

you'll need new apk (pawel_1980's) for diffrnt location of tomtom folder other than sdcard

Hello, I have a Galaxy Note 1 N7000
I installed the tomtom europe maps on my external sdcard in the root map tomtom.
Tryed to startup with the standard apk file, this didnt worked, keep give the message that he cannot connect to tomtom.
Now i placed the APK file from powel-1980, start that file up and its installing the app.

When i startup tomtom he do not ask for connections anymore but after a several seconds its hangs on the startup screen, i do can see that he starts the gps. several seconds later tomtom go away en i get my normal screen back, the gps stays active.

What can be the problem????

Maybe this:
Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 resolution: 800 x 1280 pixels

Some people have had some luck running at other than the officially supported resolution of 480x800\800x480, but many others have not. It seems to somehow depend on the hardware/Android version involved.

Move the tomtom folder to the phone root internal memory - not to ve place it at the external sd memory card. I ve install it for my fren N7000, it was working perfectly. Some programs, eg; like Ndrive or Copilot, they won't work if you re to ve put the folder at the external memory sd card. Make sure your phone has a /mnt/sdcard / folder in the internal memory. If not, thn created one and put the tomtom folder in it. It will works. Best of luck

I agree, it only worked for me on my asus tf101 when i moved the tomtom folder to /mnt/sdcard folder.

Remember though not to use it whilst online or allow tomtom to use the internet or tomtom server will disable it!

So drive safely guy's :)

    /mnt/sdcard/external_sd/,
    /mnt/sdcard-ext/,

    /storage/sdcard0/,
    /mnt/extSdCard/,
    /mnt/extsd/,
    /mnt/emmc/,
    /mnt/extern_sd/,
    /mnt/ext_sd/,
    /mnt/ext_card/,
    /mnt/_ExternalSD/,
    /sdcard2/,
    /sdcard/,
    /sdcard/sd/,
    /sdcard/external_sd/,
    /mnt/sd/,

after copying the maps to mnt/sdcard/external_sd/tomtom/.comtomtom.uscanada

when i install the usacanada1.01 .apk it giving me o maps found ?

any suggestion ?

You may need to edit the .metadata.xml file in /../.comtomtom.uscanada/ to reflect [color="#FF0000"]the new path[/color]:
(open in Notepad)
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<santorinicontent>
  <contentlist>
    <bundle>
      <bundleid>com.tomtom.uscanada</bundleid>
      <content_version>4</content_version>
      <min_app_version>1</min_app_version>
      <download>
        <url location="[B][color="#FF0000"]file://mnt/sdcard/external_sd/tomtom/.comtomtom.uscanada[/color][/B]
"/>
      </download>
      <size>2416462251</size>
    </bundle>
  </contentlist>
</santorinicontent>

I cannot confirm that this works as I have no device with such a path, but if true any time a path other than the original
file://mnt/sdcard/tomtom/com.tomtom* is used, the .metadata* file will need to be edited to the true path used with the modified APK installs.
