TomTom Android Europe and Others v 1.0

You could try the full Europe version...this is the one I have and it works. I did not personally test the Western Europe version. If that fails in the same way, there could be some compatibility issues with your particular device...which some others have reported. Rooted or not should make no difference.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

I have Galaxy S2 with ICS (rooted, unbranded) with TT Western Europe working ok.

Might be an incompatibility with something already running in the background..?

Since Fatboyfun has essentially the same hardware as you, and I have essentially the same ICS version as you, and both of us have had success...I would take his observation seriously...that something running on your phone is preventing correct TT operation.
If not, it could be just one of those things....it's not going to work on your specific device for reasons unknown.:(

Another possibility is that something is wrong with your SD Card...that even though it may show adequate free space, some file corruption may make portions unusable.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

And the NEXT person who posts a REQUEST for a new download will be blocked from getting it when it is eventually posted.
Everyone will be able to download it EXCEPT YOU!

Not really, but come on people. Things are posted when they become available IF they become available. Whining for something will not make it appear any sooner, and this IS NOT A REQUEST THREAD!

Myself and Popeye (http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?11116-TomTom-v1.0-Android) are both on the look out for new releases all the time. Maybe we search some of the same places, I don't know (but I don't steal his, and he does not steal mine), and neither one of us is holding anything back for any reason.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

You can't at the moment, I suspect it'll turn up eventually though...

Possibly it'll be the same here, just need to wait for someone to discover what it is...
