There is always a 'way'. Look for Market Unlocker (ironically, it used to be available on Google Play, but I think it may have been removed).

There have been some reports, scattered around various forums over the Interverse, that after installation of the APK, when the Map/Voice download would be the next step, that an error such as "Unable to connect to TomTom.." comes up. With actual WiFi connection actually working otherwise (no signal problem or hardware problem). This may indicate that TomTom has become wise to the cracked versions, and that they may be blocked from getting the required map files from this point forward until another solution is possibly found. Time will tell.
If you did get it installed with the maps downloaded already, I would suggest to leave it alone...do not attempt another install, nor uninstall what you have.

Yep, I can confirm this situation, I can not download the maps the firt time I launch the app. Get the message "Unable to connect to TomTom servers" with two buttons "Retry" or "Exit".

I have the same problem on my LG Optimus Black P970.
When I lunch the application error "Unable to connect to TomTom server" come out.
Suggestion?

Not at the moment, Tomtom spoiled our fun by blocking the cracked apk!

installed in sd card ....it doesnt work....says impossible to connect to tom-tom

Not working on Motorola Razr, I followed the exact phase and it's not working, need internet connection.Even with internet connectios say's Unable to connect...
