NOTICE:

Testing complete (so far). All of the regional versions from the first post in this thread have been fully tested...installed, maps/voices fully downloaded, basic operations checked.
Test conditions:
800x480/480x800 Android Phone with ICS 4.04 (rooted, but stock ROM)
SD Card with adequate space for maps and other application data.

Only POLAND was found not to work. After map download, an unrecoverable error. No working replacement has yet been found.

As new distributions become available, they will be similarly tested.
Look for this:
--TBM

--------------------
--TBM = Tested By Moderators. And everything works. Completely.

Is there any way to get free speedcameras?

Other than the method described in post #35:

no...not currently.
Maybe in the future? Time will tell. People still have to figure a few things out to crack some features open...if ever.

I installed TomTom Europe on my HTC Sensation and it works fine, thanks :-)

Now I wanted to purchase HD Traffic from the built-in store and get an application error: "This version of the Application is not configured for billing through Google Play. Check the help center for more information."

Does anyone know what to do about this?

Thanks!

I guess maybe you did not see this from the first post Instructions:
NOTE: To be 'safe' disable TomTom Data within the settings and do not attempt any In-App Purchases!

What is available here are not legit versions...to try functions that only paid for downloaded officially from Google Play versions offer will result in:
1) Failure
2) (perhaps) breaking the App totally.

If you want to add PAID FOR features, you need a PAID FOR App!
At least for now. If this changes, it would require information from somebody who knows/understands the inner workings of TomTom software in general and the Android version specifically. And so far, nobody has been able or willing to share this knowledge.

Yes, I actually saw the note in the first post but thought it is only "to be on the safe side"... anyways, thanks for your reply. The problem with the PAID app is, that I cannot download it for my HTC Sensation in the store because "my device is not supported"... Is there any way of downloading the PAID app from the store anyways, any workaround?

Hello, i have a question.
I am having an Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 and installed Tomtom Western Europe.
When i start TomTom it says there is nog enough memory (in dutch). I am having 1.8 GB free internal SD-memory and it says i need another 859 MB's.
In dutch it says:
"
Welkom bij TomTom Navigator.
Je hebt 859.17MB extra ruimte nodig voor de vereiste kaart voor deze app. Maak de vereiste ruimte vrij en probeer het opnieuw.
"
Can you please help me?

Western Europe takes up 2.64GB in total on my device, you simply don't have enough space available.

Sun Oct 14, 2012 2:17 pm

Thanks for the quick answer.

I am having an external SD-card of 16GB. Is it possible to use that space?

Sun Oct 14, 2012 2:25 pm

There is no option to select a folder in the map installation, maybe it would recognize the tomtom folder if it was already installed on external_sd (haven't tried)

If you find tomtom in the play store, is it compatible?

Western Europe works a treat on my 10.2" inexpensive Chinese tablet (model BC1003). Thanks to all for the work on this.
