help me with the instruction to install this apps. I'm confused since it come with many files: apk, maps, and base file.

Exit back to the home screen
Run sygic downloader
Choose your maps
Sygic will download everything you need, this will be over 500MB so do it over wifi
Done

Note: stay out of the activate option otherwise it messes it up

One thing I do not understand, though.
What's the point of posting links to basemaps and maps, I could not find where to put them on my SGS, once I completed d/l them?
I had to re-download them from Sygic downloader.
Any help would be most appreciated.

One more question:
On starting the app, Sygic keeps asking me to connect using e-mail and password. Is it safe? or will it revoke my app?

As to my first question, I have found the answer myself. The folder where basemaps, maps and voices go is:
(surprise surprise), nothing like Sygic, but Aura. Why is that? I have no idea.

You only need the apk, the other files are posted if you are not able to download then through your phone

Sygic is the name of the company, Aura is/was the original name of the navigation software. I think they have since mostly abandoned the Aura name, but retained it in the file structure.

However, I am not able to install it. While installing, it says "not installed"

Procedure I followed. Please correct me if i made any mistake.

1. removed existing sygic.
2. removed "aura" file from sd card.
3. installed sygic11.2.6 from this thread.
4. used sygic downloader to install base file and maps.
5. 11.2.6 works perfect

to install 12.1 beta
1. downloaded 12.1 beta from the link given by arci.home
2. run 12.1 and followed instructions

I am getting a message "Application not installed"

Whether anyone tried 12.1 beta on top of 11.2.6 and successful?

You can not use 12.6 on top of 12.1. You must remove 12.1 fully
