Primo Android 9.6.7

Postby Yurbuh Tuggly » Mon Aug 13, 2012 5:08 am

OK. I would suggest you start completely over (it's not that hard anyway). Right now, you may have a mash-up of different things.
Uninstall/delete everything .. and do the uninstall as described in the spoiler for :
Help! Primo suddenly exits after selecting a Language or does not start up or gives odd "Insert Card" messages!
in the first post.
Then follow the instructions for same...copying the entire original downloaded Primo folder to /mnt/sdcard, rename it to iGo, then install the APK from the same spoiler as above in the first post. Sooner or later we will figure it out for your particular device....correctly.:o
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Phew, that worked! Ta da; and it has a memory i.e. it remembers data in a 'save' file. Problems solved, easy as pie. Many thanks.

Look Ma, no external SD card! I've tested it 3 ways from Sunday, no problems at all. I've wanted iGo on Android Slate for a long time now: BLISS. Good job for the big effort, well done, and many thanks.

Yeah who needs it...I don't need no stinkin' external SD card!
(And neither does Primo, apparently)

That must be 'optional' or maybe only necessary in certain areas.
I have no such license (only the two included in the download), and TMC works just fine with the entries added to sys.txt described in the first post.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

For me it was impossible to get any traffic alert before i have added this license.
Now only problem is about automatic refreshing traffic information. I must restart app to get new events.

What do you have in sys.txt?
I get alerts streaming in constantly...as long as an internet connection is maintained. Lose internet = lose any new alerts.

You have a LOT of stuff in there. I don't know where you may have got that sys.txt from, or what advice you got for the entries, but some of it may be hindering certain operations.
Here is my complete sys.txt currently in use, and everything works as it should:
[device]

[tmc]
source="gnse"
internal_tmc_name="gnse"

PS. I also just noticed that you have categories ([category header]) repeated...listed more than once. This is never a good thing (Android or WinCE versions).
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

1) Is the phone rooted, or not? Sometimes that makes a difference for which version to use.
2) Have you tried the latest version (posted just yesterday)? You can get only the APK if you already have everything else.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

Hi,

The link to the new "APK version" doesn't work on first post.
Also, I installed the previous version and noticed that Google Search doesn't work. Is it normal or did I make something wrong?

Thanks
