Successfully downloaded, extracted, installed, but can't get past message "global_config not found" It is one of the files though. Any ideas? Thanks!

Global_cfg.zip should be in /your_SDcard/iGO/content/global_cfg.

It is working well on my device.
Try to download the last version from here:
http://www.navitotal.com/program-data-zip-branding-zip-license-f83/various-global-cfg-t13758.html
and replace it as is, NO unzip is needed.

Hi,
I have a Wayteq xtab 50 (5"). (Screen Resolution 800 x 444).
Everything works fine but impossible to get fullscreen. There is always a black band between the screen and the android tools bar of the device.
I tried many things in the sys.txt.... but always the same.
Once, I tried to launch "IGO ANS" without sys.txt,then it says "...user interface resolution (800x408 ????) is not supported or....."
An idea to get a fullscreen in this case?
Thanks

This resolution (800x444) is not supported by this version.
Did you try the following in the sys.txt?

[android]
fullscreen=1
tablet=1
has_physical_home_button=1

Yes I do but always the same....
What is the utility of the sign ";" at the beginning of some lines?
Thank you for your help....

I tried again and now it's good.....I copied from an old sys.txt
I edited the sys.txt and change the [rawdisplay]:

[rawdisplay]
drver=engine
;screen_xy="auto"
screen_x=800
screen_y=444
screen_x2=800
screen_y2=444
screen_xy="800x444:800x444/444x800:fullscreen"
highres=0
double_screen=0
show_cursor=0
combine_dirty=0

In the [rawdisplay] I put only these lines. Perhaps some of them are unnecessary . I don't know... but for me now, I have a fullscreen display.
Thank a lot for all.

The semi-colon ; instructs iGO to ignore the line and treat it like a comment or rem statement.

Thanks, I made the mistake of unzipping everything; I'll try it again and let everyone know...

Wed Nov 27, 2013 8:12 pm

So sorry....
Filesupload gave us the good solution.
I just have to remove the semi-colon at the beginnings of the lines....

[android]
fullscreen=1(0)
tablet=1(0)
has_physical_home_button=1(0)

Thank you a lot one more time....I'm really a newbie!!!

Thank you, Everything works fine

Sorry for the dumb question, but the first link is for a general version, and the second link is specifically for the S4? Thanks,

Brew

No.
- First link is a link for the full Voice files.
- Second link is a link for the program and other folders needed.

The program was tested by me on a Samsung Galaxy S4 (resolution 1920x1080) but is should work with other resolutions (800x480, 1024x600, 1280x800, 1900x1200) as well.

Ok..I got it running using standard sys.txt, fullscreen and all, but it won't turn on the gps satellites on my tablet. (yes they are enabled in the tablet's system settings) It says "searching for satellites", but the location symbol doesn't show up in the status bar like it does with other nav software. Any ideas? if I'm not mistaken it was working when I used the Galaxy sys.txt, but the program showed up too small on the screen and was unresponsive to touch, therefore unusable. Any help would be appreciated!

Can you check what port & baud your device uses? When you do, add this lines in the sys.txt you're using:

[gps]
port=2 (value can be different on your device)
baud=57600 (value can be different on your device)

Before restarting the program, delete the "save" folder from the root folder of the program. Don't worry, it will be created again when starting the program.

Tonight I tried starting another nav app and running them simultaneously. Sure enough, iGo picked up the signal and we were off and running. I closed everything down and re-started iGo. It turned on the gps and worked great, so I guess it figured it out.

Separate note, maps from a cheap old winCe gps unit work fine with this, to whom it may or may not concern.

I wish I had found this forum before I bought Be-On-Road maps for $30, but I guess I have a backup now. Cheers everyone!
