Does it give the option of English menus? We're moving to Taiwan in February for 6 months and my HTC Desire will be my navigational saviour (hopefully).

ok, so it does not have English. That's fine - I will work it out. Would you please PM me active links? The original files have been taken down.

Hi,

English menu you can use X5 link here : http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2472-PAPAGO!-X5-for-Android&p=24340#post24340
But,
If you still want to use M7 with Taiwan Language, get it from here : [Please Register or Login to download file]
or
go here with Taiwan Map :

I'm an absolute novice. Thank you for your help with the links.

I tried a HK English X5 but had trouble even getting that going, let alone putting Taiwanese maps into it. X5 seems more complicated to get running, so I'll just give M7 a shot. I can't find an English X5 with Taiwanese maps, but I assume there is a way to make one (e.g. HK X5 + Taiwan map).

So, I've got the M7 files copying onto my phone now then I guess the next step is to get an apk from [Please Register or Login to download file] .

Damn, I stuffed it up and it won't work. I did:
1. Copid files to SD
2. Installed apk.
3. Opened app ...and it force closed.

So I:
1. Uninstalled and removed SD Navi files.
2. Installed apk.
3. Copied Navi files to SD.
4. Opened app ...it still force closes.

What can I do to make it work? I use a Desire with Froyo. Is there another Papago file hiding that I should manually remove from the phone before reinstalling? Each time I uninstall and reinstall, it gives the same result. Force close. Aaaargh! TT

I've tried using the apk and files from [Please Register or Login to download file] , but it gave me an error in Chinese about being unable to open some GIF. I also tried using the Papago site's files and apk plus the happy file from elsewhere. No luck there either. Maybe my stupid telco has done more damage to Froyo than it originally appeared. This just will not work for me. Any advice?

Hi,

If you run froyo, use X5IND from here : http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2472-PAPAGO!-X5-for-Android&p=11720#post11720
After DL 5 files, extract and you got 2 files libpapago.so and libpapago2.so
delete libpapago.so---> rename libpapago2.so into libpapago.so
Then follow step by step install program.
