Despite having checked the integrity of all the folders / files of M9 and ensure all the folders and files are there, the M9 still returned the message "Unfortunately, Navitotal! has stoppped".

The same M9 installed on ICS 4.04 works perfectly, but when installed on JB 4.1.2, does not work.

Despite having the resolution files of 1280x720, 720x1280, 1184x720 and 1196x720 in the Organic folder, M9 failed to work.

Hope any one who has installed the M9 successfully will shed some light where I went wrong with the installation on OS 4.1.2.

Thanks/Regards.

Try to copy the whole M9 folder to your external SDcard if you have one...I don't have issue running on 4.1.2 on Note 1 previously...

I've no issue with Galaxy Note 1. The problem arises when M9 is installed on Note 2 from internal memory with OS 4.1.2. When installed on Note 2 "Unfortunately, Navitotal! has stoppped" would pop up when launched. When installed from external SDcard, it fails to install.

Any further advice to resolve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks/Regards.

I'm using 4.2.1, M9 is not working.
I've received the stopped message too.

Understand from fellow forumer postings :

M9 cannot support Jelly Bean V4.2.1

One or two forumers had the M9 running on :

Jelly Bean V4.1.1 (working on M9)
Jelly Bean V4.1.2 (working on M9)
Jelly Bean V4.2.1 (M9 cannot support)

I don't know what they did with the M9 installer, I still could not get it to run on V4.1.1 and V4.1.2

Did you managed to get it working on SGS3. There are two installer files, one M9 Navitotal and the other M9(ckw). I'm using the latter.

@gawanco, I got installer from #1 (MonsterGPS, M9 Navitotal), running well from internal memory on my SGN2 JB 4.1.1. (At 1st attempt I got stop message too when running from external memory card).
And make sure you put "Navisea" folder in the root directory of your internal memory and execute the apk from that location.

I don't have any SG S3 with me at the moment. All the SG S3 taken back by my friends. I will try again when I have the set in hand.

I use the standard M9. I will like to try the M9 (ckw) if you can pm me the download link. By the way what is the synonym of "ckw" ?

Up to which version of Adroid OS can the M9 (ckw) support ?

Thanks/Regards.

Dear mr.chuya,

Thanks for the information. My issue is with the SG Note 2 on JB 4.1.2. Can't get it to run neither internal nor external memory installation, but one or two guys in this forum got it working somehow.

Thanks/Regards.

Dear curious5,

I've downloaded the NaviSEAckw version of M9 (Many thanks for your effort). All folders and files are intact. Unfortunately, I'm unable to try out the installation at this point of time, as my friends had taken back the SG S3 and Note 2 handsets. I will try out the NaviSEAckw version of M9 as soon as I can lay my hands on the SG S3 and Note 2 devices.

In the meantime, I would appreciate very much if you could advise on the following pointers :

a) :
Will the NaviSEAckw run on SG S3 (other than SG Note 2) with OS 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 ?

b) :
The NaviSEAckw comes without the 1280x720 and 720x1280 resolution files. Is it necessary to copy these two resolution files onto the Organic folder and each of the language folders ?

c) :
The M9 NaviSEAckw installer comes with an additional two files, namely "._.DS_Store" and ".DS_Store" in the root directory and in the Map folder. Are these two files supposed to be patches to resolve the issues found on OS 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 ?

d) :
For the benefits of other forumers, it would be helpful to list the resolution files to use for which version of OS, for example :

1. Which handset device and OS version should use 1280x720 and 720x1280 resolution files.
2. Which handset device and OS version should use 1184x720 and 720x1196 resolution files.

Sorry for my long winded questions. I believe it will be helpful to other forumers to resolve the different issues they encounter installing the M9.

Thanks/Regards.

Dear curious5,

I installed the "NaviSEAckw" on SG Note 2 with OS 4.1.2 to-day successfully. All features and functions work perfectly after rebooting the device, except it does not play the M9 tune when the interface loads. Unlike when installed on OS 4.04 on SG Note 1, it plays the beautiful M9 tune before the location map appears. The re-routing is really fast with this new M9.

I actually copied all the NaviSEAckw's resolution folders to the internal memory of the device. Up to this point of time, I'm still wondering as to which resolution folders actually work with SG Note 2 or because of the additional patch files ""._.DS_Store" and ".DS_Store" that did the trick. I left all the resolution folders in the Organic folder in the internal memory.

Can you advise which are the actual resolution folders which are needed and also is there a way to turn on the M9's launch tune ?

Thanks a lot - you're great !

Dear 2uk3y,

The NaviSEAckw installer I used successfully on the SG Note 2 with OS 4.1.2 does not contain the 1280x720 and 720x1280 resolution folders.

The NaviSEAckw installer has many other resolution folders, but not the 1280x720 and 720x1280.

The successfull installation could have been the 1184x720, 720x1196, 1280x800, 800x1280 or the 1280x752. There are a total of 22 resolution folders in the Organic folder that came with the NaviSEAckw installer.

I suspect it is the additional "._.DS_Store" and ".DS_Store" patch files that did the trick rather than the resolution folders in the Organic folder.

If it is not the additional patches, then it could have been other resolution folders and not the 1280x720 and 720x1280, because these two resolution folders were not in the Organic folder.

Back to square one, still wondering which are the resolutions that actually got the M9 up and running ?

Thanks/Regards.
