Igo Primo 9.6.22.316005 for Nexus 4 UK Edition

Postby Livingstone » Thu Aug 22, 2013 10:08 am

Hi Ian, nice to hear this is crossing the pond and still proving useful. It's only labelled UK edition because it's bundled with all the maps and content so it should work anywhere as long as you feed it the local content.

I don't know what to tell you about your keyboard space problem as it works as expected for me here searching for a place name with a space in it. I can only think that it is either skin related or map related. You can try moving all the files out of the skin folder and see if that helps but other than that I can't help, sorry.

You have to open sys.txt from the folder iGO with Notepad, scroll down to find [rawdisplay] and edit the lines under it like below:

[rawdisplay]
driver=engine
screen_xy="800_480:800x442/480x762"

The lines from above make iGO to cover all screen but to let phone status bar from above visible. The phone status bar is 38 px height. I recommend because you can see on this status also the status of satellite lock.
If you do not want to have the status bar visible then you can edit [rawdisplay] as following:

[rawdisplay]
driver=engine
screen_xy="800_480:800x480/480x800"

In this way your iGO will function in portrait mode as well as in landscape mode.

Change the numbers after the : to match your devices resolution and that should do it.

I have a different problem. I am using a Nexus 4 and it is fine (apart from odd POI icon display) but I would like to be able to halve the screen resolution to make everything bigger sometimes. That way I can see the details without glasses.

Ideally, I would make the screen resolution half so everything is twice as wide and twice as high. How?

Nice easy one for once. Delete the Branding.zip (or rename it in case you don't like the results). That should do it :-)

Thanks Livingstone. I tried deleting/adding skin and maps to no avail. I have now uninstalled and deleted all files and re-installed and the SPACE is working as expected. I have no idea what is different but I am a happy camper.

Appreciate your effort.

Livingstone hasn't been here in 2014.
And did you know there are newer releases out there?
