So far so good its working. Only saving to device though. Cant move to SD unless someone can get this to work with V9.6.2.807 or higher.

BTW. If anyone tries this and has time could you try and swap the V9.6.2.736 with higher than 9.6.2.807 and tell me if it works. The higher version can run from the SD apparently.

Thanks for this.

Installed as per instructions and working well.

Where can I download higher than 9.6.2.807 to give it a try?

Device:

Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100
OS - Wanamlite rooted rom on JB 4.1.2

Managed to move the apk only to sd card.

Further to the above:

Using a root file explorer, I moved the com.alk.copilot.mapviewer folder to the external sd card.

When I started Copilot, it picked up the move and continued to work as it should. So for rooted roms, it is possible to run the application from sd card.

I will give it a proper test tomorrow and report back.

Well, took it for a run today, everything working fine. Route deviation adjusted after just a couple yards of the deviation.

So, to summarize, it can be run from the sd card on rooted roms.
