Please Note it is illegal to use Speedcam files in France as of 01-01-2012!

The Cameras will work for any current map covering these countries: Andora = AD, Australia = AU, Austria = AT, Argentina = AR, Belgium = BE, Brazil = BR, Bulgaria = BG, Chile = CL, Croatia = HR, Czech Republic = CZ, Denmark = DK, Estonia = EE, Finland = FI, France = FR, Germany = DE, Greece = GR, Hungary = HU, Indonesia = ID, Italy = IT, Latvia = LV, Lithuania = LT, Luxemburg = LU, Malaysia = MY, Malta = MT, Mexico = MX, Nederlands = NL, New Zealand = NZ, Norway = NO, Poland = PL, Portugal = PT, Republic of Ireland = IE, Republic of Serbia = RS, Romania = RO, Russia = RU, Serbia = RS, Singapore = SG, Slovakia = SK, Slovenia = SI, South Africa = ZA, Spain = ES, Sweden = SE, Taiwan = TW, Thailand = TH, Ukraine = UA, United Kingdom = UK, Uruguay = UY, USA & Canada = US_Canada.

If you have a Legally Purchased map or anything else on your device, make sure you back it up before running the keygen, as the keygen will write over the legal .dct and make your map unusable. To fix this you must patch your navcore ttsystem file.

To activate the cameras, copy and paste the appropriate .ov2 and .ov2ver files into your map folder on your device or memory card and use FastActivate (or any keygen of your choice) to activate them, the same way as you activate a map. You only activate these files one time. Updates do not require re-activating. USA & Canada cams are free, but still require activation, if you have a patched navcore & map.

TomTom regular cams are fixed & Premium cams are fixed + mobile. You CAN'T use the TomTom regular & TomTom Premium cams at the same time. If both are installed, they will default to the Premium cams. The regular and premium cams DO NOT show up as POIs. The alerts are set in TomTom Services. To confirm the cams are functioning, create a route, where you know you will be going past a camera (Safety camera warnings are now only given when relevant and on the same side of the road). In Route Summary, do a Demo of the route. If the camera shows up on the Demo, VOILA!!

Make sure you only use the SpeedCams files that are relevant to the map concerned otherwise you could find that your device will constantly reboot!

The file is included. It is your choice whether to use it or not.

I have just updated my ONE IQ through Home and, along with the MapShare for Western Europe and GPS updates, I was offered free Speedcams for France! I have never had that before today. There was no warning that I could see which indicates that using them is illegal, which is a bit naughty:doh:

These are the new "Danger Zones", which are a legal work around to spot the safety cams.

What do you mean by "at your own risk" : for the navcore ? or on the road with speedcams ?

To avoid problems in France and Switzerland, I use POI's for these countries.
Set them up with a audible warning at 300m (or whatever you prefer), and name them 'view', 'pick-nick area'
or something - but not 'speedcam'
In the unlikely event someone would check your speedcams, you're save !

Attached the poi file for France/Switzerland.

Strange, the size of the ov2 files changed slightly (like 4 bytes bigger or something), but speedcams still work without having to regenerate a key. I normally never do, but I think it's the first time I see the ov2 files size change. Or maybe I never noticed before :)

1. Once patched, they are forever patched.
2. The size will fluctuate from time to time.
3. I suspect that this is the case.

I'm confused.

I've already mentioned that the current updates do not show any of the mobile safety cam positions locally in my area or in some parts of the South West, only the fixed cams are shown.

The speedcam file I use is from 09-2012 of 240kb for the UK, yet the latest for the UK is 103kb.

So how many more Mobile speedcams are not notified.

Any clues.

I said it before: TT drastically reduced the amount of cams available in the files.
An alternative would be to use third party cams or to stick to an older version (the user must have an old file for that).
I have not updated my cams for over 2 years as think the ongoing updates are useless - there are never enough cams added in real life to justify he amount of updates.
Checking the filesize a constant decline can be seen over the months.
I personally guess TT is reflecting the times as in many countries warnings about mobile sites are forbidden now, fixed cam warnings however are only banned in a few countries like France and Switzerland.
Also cam warnings are only needed for drivers that don't pay enough attention to speed limits ;)

Yep, & we have replied that the mobile cam files have been drastically reduced for whatever reason.
Navitotal has no control over the contents of the Speed Cam files. TT releases them, & we post them. It has already been suggested that you contact TT support with your issue.
At present, you have 2 options.
1. Use the current files & accept the fact that the mobile cam files have been drastically reduced.
2. Continue using the way outdated files, if it puts your mind at ease.
