XL IQ Routes with NAV3 Map

Re: Up to date meta.txt file

Thank you for the meta files. I have an XL IQ Routes with 9.541. I read that Nav3 maps can be used with 9.541 so I imported 1175_13260. As per the instructions in “Can Update a Tomtom IQ ROUTES” thread I ran Update Meta.txt but the TomTom doesn’t give me the option of using the new map.
I came across the meta.txt file you provided, installed it and didn’t run Update Meta.txt as you advised but that doesn’t solve my problem either.
What could I be doing wrong?

Where is the thread you are referring to?

You don't say which countries map you want to use or what activator you're using? If you're using FastActivate and you're sure the map has a matching meta code, rename meta.txt to mymeta.txt and then copy it to the root of your device and activate it as normal.

The thread is under General discussions about TomTom > Can update a TomTom IQ Routes? The response to the question was posted by pe1agp.
The map is UK & ROI. I am using FastActivate.
I have done as you suggested but the map still isn’t displayed.
Do you know of a UK map that works on my device?

Ok, first of all, please don't post in other peoples threads with very little information saying things like 'it doesn't work' etc...start your own thread and give the exact details of what device > what map > and the steps you've already taken

So far I understand that that you have an XL Routes device with the latest navcore 9.541 installed on it?
You are trying to update it with United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland 1175_13260 map and you're using FastActivate?

You should have extracted that map to the root of your device and it will be contained in it's own folder...the name of that folder should have no spaces in it at all
You should also have FastActivate.exe in the root of your device together with a fully updated copy of mymeta.txt...download the latter from the following link if you need to:

[Please Register or Login to download file]

If those three things are all in place > run FastActivate.exe from the device and select option 2 to activate the map > then option 3 to patch the system > if all is sucessful disconnect it from your PC and test

What is the result?
