In September 2023 I bought a new Tom Tom Discover from my local retailer and was extremely annoyed to find it only allows 5 basic P.O.I. types to be displayed on the map!

You can search for every category of P.O.I. in its own map database, and it will even show an icon next to the heading, but you can't display any of the P.O.I.s in that heading, e.g. I can't set it to display all the libraries in a large city for example!

Did Tom Tom purposely code that into their wretched navigation software, and if not, what hope is there of altering the setting that limits P.O.I.'s to 5 types?

The unit I have was sold as "lifetime maps" and it does appear to have downloaded up–to–date ones, but lesser features like P.O.I. editing, colour scheme choices and sound choices are equally as important to me!

Any hope of this being cracked/jailbroken/doctored to get rid of these limitations?
