I'm running into a weird issue with these. My GPSMAP 64s rejects them stating they can't be authenticated. Exact error is "Cannot authenticate maps. Please contact the map content seller for help." Works just fine on the GPSMAP 62st and an Oregon 600t, though.

Just to check, I ran the files through gimgunlock, but it of course didn't find anything to unlock. Any thoughts on why the 64s specifically is rejecting these? I can't imagine it's because it's not a topo model, I'm able to load other unlocked Garmin TOPO maps just fine.

Your other 2 devices don't need to be Patched to use unlocked maps. Check your HWID then read about Patching

Thank you for helping with my noobness on a question which no doubt has been asked countless times before. Google just doesn't work like it used to...

I do have the unit patched (forgot to mention) to allow unauthorized JNX files, but assume this patching is different. I will give it a shot!
