On my XXL540 device
I have GPS: GL2 BCM 4750
Clocks: 264.0 132.0 66.0
Internal Flash capacity 2007040 KB
RAM 64MB
Device ID: RX7420C0011
I replace the glgps in the bin folder. Hasn't made any difference. I have Navcore v9.541 installed some time ago.
Whether the Navcore v9.541 is part of the problem, I don't know.
I would not know if there is an update, upgrade or patch that I could use for my device as its officially no longer supported.

I'm sure I've said this before but personally I would start from scratch because this is a problem that can be caused from a bad format of the internal memory.
1. Obviously, backup your data first
2. Download
[Please Register or Login to download file] (don't panic and say you can't afford it - it's free!)
3. Install the app and choose Overwrite format (it'll take some time)
4. Then check it's formatted to FAT32 before reloading the
official 9.541 navcore from TomTom5. Install the map and activate
6. Test and see what happens

I'll give that ago and see what happens, I'll report back as to what transpires.
Ohh, just remembered mine does not have an SD Card.

I know it doesn't have an SD card but you can still use the tool on the internal drive but actually I've never tried it myself

No worries, I'll let you know how it went.

Update,
Downloaded and installed the SD card exe file into TomTom device, Could not do the formatting job , it was specifically looking for an SD Card, it kept opening up in the PC instead.
I deleted the exe file from TomTom and ran the normal Format in Complete mode , not the quick mode.
Reinstalled backed up data.
I'll post here as to what it was doing searching for satellites later tomorrow.
It ended up shutting down and rebooting back to the welcome IQ Routes Legal Notice blah, blah, blah. waiting for valid gps signal.
