Hello!
I reread the thread a few times and understand that there's still no solution for the Zumo XT.
So I edited it here to eliminate the question, thank you very much!

Postby paco2015 » Wed Mar 18, 2026 8:15 am

Good morning, I have an old Garmin Nuvi 265 WT with NT maps and I want to modify it to read NTU maps and modify it for truck (465), can both patches be installed?

The 2 Patches are used to enable a device to use unlocked .img & Birdseye files ,your device does not need to be patched to use Unlocked maps.

Thank you for responding, friend, the device I have uses NT maps and I want to put NTU ones which are more modern, at the end of the first post I have read:
"You are done, your device is unprotected, now you can use every kind of unlocked maps (NTU too)."
By only putting the truck patch, could I put NTU maps?
Is there any problem using NTU maps? That's why I wanted to patch the equipment to be able to read NTU maps without problems.
if only with the truck patch I can use NTU maps without problems?

Your device was not designed to use NTU maps ,but many are saying they work ?
nuvi 2x5 | 0851 | 780 | MAP: Yes | GMA: --- | MSV: ------ | GVS: --- | File:
Legend:
MAP: Yes - it verifies the presence of a valid unlock code, to unlock an .img you can simply use JetMouse keygen.
GMA: Yes - it verifies the FID limit (2200) and the presence of a valid *.gma, to unlock an .img you enough to use the old gimgunlock-0.03 (without MapSigPatch) or one of its derivative.
MSV: Weak - it verifies the validity of map signatures in a simple way, you can unlock an .img using gimgunlock-0.04 (without patching your firmware), but in case of unicode maps (CP65001) you must modify the CP value (see the Temporary authentication of Unicode maps*).
MSV: Strong - it verifies the validity of map signatures more complicated way, in this case you need to patch your firmware and unlock an .img using any correct unlocker.
GVS: Yes - it verifies the validity of firmware signatures, you have to use Updater.exe to install the patched firmware for the first time.

Firmware Patcher:
The purpose of this tutorial is to present this brand new tool that allows you to "remove" from your devices all the protections listed above, allowing the use on devices of any Unlocked Map, including NTU.
The following table (at 12/15/2018 ) lists the protections for each device and firmware release.

Generally if you can't find a Patch with the HWID means it's not patchable, searching also with "Drivesmart 55" would confirm the bad news

For a few years newer device's firmware could be patched (determined by their HWID) to use unlocked maps, since the DriveSmart 65 the firmware has been encrypted on these later devices.
Unfortunately it looks like Drive, DriveSmart 52,53,55,65,66,71,76,86, zumo XT ,zumo XT2, Alpha 200i, Montana 700 ,GPSMAP 67 & 67i are all in the same category.
No solution as the Universal Firmware Patcher does not recognise the new encrypted format.
