Hello everyone,
I have a Garmin Echomap UHD 62CV, software version 14.10. I’m trying to get it to read a chart that’s been processed through Gimgunlock, but of course it can’t unlock the chart. Could anyone help me, or provide a link or instructions on how to flash my chartplotter so that it will accept my chart ?

Thanks in ad

Thank you very much, GarminNuvi !!
I’ll see if I can sort it out using the information from your link.
Edit:
I carried out the procedure and it worked really well!!
I copied a chart and it was read correctly by my Echomap UHD 62CV.
Thanks again GarminNuvi and ignatsmirnov :023: :023:

Hello everyone on the forum. Could someone provide the latest patched firmware for an eTrex 30x (HWID 2250, if I'm not mistaken)? I'm copying the device details here just in case; it currently has version 3.00 installed. Many thanks to everyone.

Device is:
<PartNumber>006-B3725-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>Software Version 4.70</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>GPSMAP 65s</Description>
<PCB>GPSMAP 65S V5 </PCB>

I downloaded the patched 4.70 from https://www.navitotal.com/software/universal-firmware-patcher-for-protected-garmin-devices-t17987-2130.html#p201551
Also created the JNX & IMG double patched firmware from the original using JNX patcher 3.80 and IMG patcher 2.20 myself.
The downloaded and self-patched files are identical (if I choose to increment the version numbers by +1 & +1). The order of patching does not matter, the result is the same.

What annoys me, is the "Unknown device" and "No matches." in the logs displayed by the patchers:

JNX patcher:
Firmware version as specified in GCD file: 4.70 for Unknown device (HWID 3725).
Firmware name: Software Version 4.70 for Unknown device (HWID 3725).
File patched successfully.

IMG patcher:
Firmware version as specified in GCD file: 4.70 for Unknown device (HWID 3725).
Firmware name: Software Version 4.70 for Unknown device (HWID 3725).
Applying rule set MSV... Ok.
Applying rule set GVS... No matches.
File patched successfully.

The device was released in late 2020, the patchers are from 2019-2020, HWID 3725 is not in the supported list. Still, there is this, and earlier patched firmware files.
Unfortunately there is no confirmation that this GPSMAP65_65s_WebUpdater_470_Patched_JNX.rar works properly and does not cause any problem.

Are these messages normal? Are the patches OK? (Can this older patcher reliably find and replace the proper byte patterns of a newer, never seen firmware?)

Does the absence of GVS match indicate that the firmware itself is not protected, and no need for using updater.exe, but a simple copy to /garmin/GUPDATE.GCD (or use of webupdater) and a boot is enough? (So does it fall into the MSV: Strong and GVS: No category as listed in the legend.txt of the patcher?)

Is there somewhere a newer patcher especially with updated list of supported HWIDs (and their protection levels), to give more reassuring log messages, and help a more confident use?

Any thoughts, explanations and insights would be welcome.
Thank you, experts.

Although I did not get answers to my questions, the patchers from 2019-2020 do work for firmware 4.70 of gpsmap65s.
The patch from the older post has increased version number and unmodified about text. (https://www.navitotal.com/software/universal-firmware-patcher-for-protected-garmin-devices-t17987-2130.html#p201551)
The patch from the recent post has unmodified version number and modified about text. (https://www.navitotal.com/software/universal-firmware-patcher-for-protected-garmin-devices-t17987-2190.html#p202400)
Created a double patch of minimal change (no version increment, no modified about text) and successfully updated from 4.50 by putting gupdate.gcd to the garmin folder and did a reboot.
The device now shows custom jnx files and formerly unauthenticated ntu maps.
