Firstly look in your garmindevice.xml to confirm the HWID
<PartNumber>006-B2267-00</PartNumber>

Only if 2267 use the HWID in search this topic and you will find the Patch & Instructions

and what is the procedure after installing to the sd card to just physically transfer the unlocked maps?

Same as before but the the files advance numerically .

I successfully put the img in the map folder and it didn't recognize it, but when I put it directly in the GARMIN folder, it recognized it. THANKS

Hi, I have a Drive 5 with USA maps and there is no lifetime maps assigned so I can't update via Garmin Express or add maps via a micro SD card.

I have unlocked a Garmin unit before but didn't want to brick this one as it is probably a US unit - here is part of the device xml;

<PartNumber>006-B2267-00</PartNumber>
<SoftwareVersion>610</SoftwareVersion>
<Description>Drive 5</Description>
</Model>

Can anyone advise what I need to do for this unit.

As you did before ,search this thread using your HWID 2267 to find the Correct Patch

Hello ! newbie here... Can you share info and steps on how to patch nuvi 67 LMT ( originally russian ) to accept European maps? Tried downloading and inserting these new-maps/garmin-city-navigator-europe-unicode-2027-t24769.html but they won't work

Your device will need to be Patched to use unlocked maps.
Look in your garmindevice.xml to confirm your HWID is 2088

<SoftwareVersion>460</SoftwareVersion>

Search this thread using the HWID to find the correct Patch

Thanks for welcoming me and the immediate reply! I confirmed that HWID is 2088, i inserted the four bin files and the notepad file in the SD card,inserted in device and nothing happens
It just powers up normally without loader appearing or rebooting. What do i do wrong?

Update: Found it, should include full path Garmin/Updater... it now updated, so I suppose I just put the maps in the SD now
