Hello, if you have an MN2 running WinCE, you can't get Android Auto.
You need an MN3 running Linux.

Hi,

Sorry to bump an old thread, I need some help.

I have a Renault Clio 2018 with media nav evolution MN3 version 1.0.13.1 and I want to upgrade to 1.0.15.3 (My wireless AA adapter does not connect and I want to see if an update will fix the issue).
Unfortunately, my unit does not have Nav enabled and I can't find a way to enable it so using Renault Toolbox is not an option.

So, my question is, how will I perform the update? Is it just enough to paste the 1.0.15.3.lgu file on a FAT32 Usb stick and plug it in the vehicle? Or are there aother steps?
Also, this file is compatible with Renault/Dacia/Nissan or should i use a "Renault specific" file? If the .lgu file is not right, will the update proccess begin anyway?

I don't so much care about logo and menu appearence, I can change it to Renault from Micom menu later.

bonjour, tu peux en effet passer la mise à jour avec le lgu de la 1.0.15.3 (ne monte pas plus haut car après les scripts et autres sont bloqués et il faut passer par un patch que je diffuse vraiment à ceux qui autont été bloqués)

ensuite quand tu dis que ta navigation n'est pas activée, c'est que tu as un mn3 no map ou juste sans la navigation ?
au pire fait moi un diagnostic une fois que tu auras installé la 1.0.15.3 et on verra pour la suite

tu fais comme pour une mise à jour et quand c'est terminé tu me fais passer le fichier txt qui se sera créé sur ta clé usb

Hello, you can indeed update using the 1.0.15.3 LGU (don't go any higher because after that the scripts and other things are blocked, and you need to use a patch that I'm distributing to those who have been blocked).

Then, when you say your navigation isn't activated, do you mean you have an MN3 with no map or just without navigation?
At worst, run a diagnostic for me once you've installed 1.0.15.3, and we'll see what to do next.

Proceed as you would for an update, and when it's finished, send me the text file that will be created on your USB drive.

Hi cacou13, thank you for your immediate response.

It is a head unit that has no navigation (In the home screen I only have Radio, Media, Eco mode, Phone and Settings, no Maps/Navi icon).
Also, no map is installed. I have not managed to activate Navi via Micom. From inside Micom I can choose which map I want to activate, but after performing a unit reset for the changes to apply, nav function is not enabled and in Micom, maps tab is again reverted to "Empty".

I will try to update my vehicle in 3-4 hours and will try to get back to you on that.

le fait que tu n'aies que les 4 boutons ne me dit pas si c'est un no_map ou un appareil sans navigation, seul le diagnostic me le dira

on ne peut pas activer la navigation par le micom mais pas de soucis, on pourra l'activer autrement

The fact that you only have the 4 buttons doesn't tell me if it's a no_map device or one without navigation; only a diagnostic will tell me.

We can't activate navigation via the Micom, but no worries, we can activate it another way.

Hi,

I managed to update to 1.0.15.3 yesterday night, everything went smoothly.
I will send the diagnostic later today, I don't care so much about the built in Navigation as I will be using Android Auto, but it would be a nice addition if it was active.

Unfortunately, my issue with the wireless adapter was not resolved, despite the update. Perhaps I should get used to using a wire or I should probably look for a new/better adapter.

Hi , can I reapply the version 1.0.15.3 LGU if the one that I applied seems kinda slow ? because I applied that version 1.0.15 along with something called evotech but my original renault stepway didnt came with that evotech and honestly i dont know what that is. and when it comes to volume changes its buggy in Android Auto so I think thats something that I never had before with the other stock version and the reverse camera takes longer to dissapear after I use R and the camera keeps on for a couple of seconds after I hit D.

So I feel something is happenign there so I though maybe reinstallation with the software you provided there 1.0.15.3 but without evotech

I dont want to brick my radio !

Hello everyone.
I'm getting on in years and becoming a bit clumsy. Let me explain. I have a MediaNav MN3, with version 1.0.15.3, and I can't get it to navigate. The "accept" button is grayed out. I've tried removing the battery, the fuse... and nothing works. If any of you, more experienced with this, can help me, I would be very grateful.

Download this, then extract it to your desktop and copy and paste the autorun_bavn folder onto a USB drive formatted in FAT32.
Go to your car, start your engine and MediaNav. Once it has started, insert your USB drive. You will hear a beep, then a text pop-up saying that a diagnostic is being performed. At the end, the pop-up will disappear and you will hear a voice message (and there may also be a sound alert with my voice...).
When it's finished, send me the diagnostic_navigation.txt file that was created on your USB drive.
