Has anyone had any experience with the new TomTom Via range of products?

Problems I am experiencing include:

1. Not being able to examine the files in the device using windows explorer , when the device connected to the USB port of the computer.

2. I notice that the "Device Id" now has 12 digits and not 10 digits as in previous models.

I am hoping you can help me here. I have tried to update my in-dash navigation in my Skoda Octavia (Skoda Nexus, MFD2(http://maples8.com/trevor/octavia/RS/mfd2/DSC00032.JPG)) to the newest firmware. I have tried the VW firmware upgrade, but since it does not work, I guess it has to be Skoda specific (also to avoid VW start-up logo). Where can I find this?
I also tried to unlock in order to use the maps (V8, 2011, Scandinavia) ...

I got a 720 yesterday. It was working without any problem until I plugged it into the PC and couldn't get a USB connection to work. I tried another PC, same issue. I am trying to install Western and Central Europe 2GB 870.3406 on my TomTom GO 930.
App 8.351 OS:315187 GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5120
For some reason, when I insert the SD card, it says that I can't use this maps.

Is there anyone who could give me a step by step on how to have it working, please ??

am i missing something or have the download link for this gone, havent been on for a while and have deleted mine in error and would like it to patch maps i already have downloaded
