Garmin City Navigator North America NT 2027.20 FID 13409

Any chance someone has the D3060440A.JCV file (a google search says that's the correct one, but not 100% sure)? My older Goldwing nav system can only use a single JCV file, and I can't find a way to merge any of those in the original post.

North American Junction view files have had the prefix D967xxxA.jcv for a couple of years, and the file you are looking for is for NA 2024.AFAIK merging JCV files is not done.Since NA exceeded the 4Gb limit there has been a matched .JCV file for each .img ,I would just use D9673100A.jcv covering the US.

Uploaded the garmindevice.xml from the original OEM card.

I did update the card to D3191380A.jcv with the NA NT 2022-20 FID 1947 back in 2022.

Am trying to update to City Navigator NA NT 2027-20 FID 13409 now.

@Huckleberry21
Used your garmindevice.xml and GE only gave the US map no other files.

If this worked for you D3191380A.jcv try the latest version D9675140A.jcv 437 MB ,I wouldn't bother with junction view.

I can try just using D9675140A.jcv 437 MB - I am presuming it is the same content as the older D3191380A.jcv? Out of curiosity do you know what the content of D9675140A.jcv vs the other files in the PhotoReal .rar are? Specifically D9673100A.jcv since it is a larger file? I'm open to using "partial coverage" if that's the best I can get.

I do like the Junction view, as it's been very helpful in larger cities (like Houston where I live), so I'd like to keep that functionality working for at least the areas I travel (Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and adjacent states).

Ok - I had a brain fart. The GPS screen is only 400x200 resolution, so no need for the "photorealistic" .jcv

I looked deeper and found IMGTool, and think I now understand the differences:

Photorealistic files are 212x234 resolution for partial-screen display, as are the "SVG Small"

The "SVG Large" files are 480x270 in resolution for full-screen display, and there are two files
D9673100A.jcv - 112K pics - US 763MB
D9674100A.jcv - MEXICO 79MB

So for my use case on the Goldwing, your original statement to use D9673100A.jcv is spot on! Thank you.

On a somewhat related note - I tried downloading the GMAP files for use with BaseCamp, and the For PC.part1.rar - 2.0 GB file works fine only with WinRAR, not native Windows functionality - so you are correct again - download WinRAR

Hi everyone! I need some help.
I can't get the Junction View split screen to show up on my Garmin nüvi 55. I've tried using simulation mode, driving simulated routes, and hitting "Go"...

I placed the following JCV files: (extracted from Junction View SVG 480x270 (Small).rar) inside SD/Garmin/JCV/

D9675140A.jcv
D9676140A.jcv

And the map file:

gmapsupp.img (extracted from US 2027.20 (gmapsupp).rar) inside SD/Map

Am I doing this right? Do I need to use both JCV files? Do I also need to install the maps for Mexico and Canada? What could be going wrong?

Haven't loaded these up yet in my Nuvi. Just a bit concerned because these 2027.20 maps are significantly smaller (400mb smaller) than the maps from 2024, 2025 & 2026 yet purporting to be covering the same geographic area. How can that be when we have more roads and more POI's?

Update - I put these maps in several Nuvi's and there is something faulty. The unit does not object to the maps and displays roads and name just fine. However, when searching for a street address it does not work at all. It does not recognize any street names or even cities and states. When I try to search for a known good address in Delaware, it reports "Delaware not found". Same with Maryland and Rhode Island. Reverting back to the 2026.20 maps for now.

North America Version 2024.10 data exceeded 4 GB so was the first time it was split into US All & Canada & Mexico files. I only see it changing incrementally.

Don't know where you get the size for the 2026.30. My 2026.30 IMG file for all of north america (same geographic area as the 2027.20) is much larger than the 3.49GB screenshot you posted; it clocks in at 3.95GB

The 2027.20 IMG file posted here is significantly smaller. That size difference was just what got my attention. The real problem I have is that I can not search any addresses. It recognizes no street names, no city names, and no state names. I believe there is something wrong with the 2027.20 NA download posted here. Note that I am not a novice and have been updating Garmin devices for over 15 years.

@oneclickplus
Just use ImTool to compare.
[Please Register or Login to download file] .
Of the 270 downloads you are the first to report issues, do you not have LifeTime maps on any of your nuvi's

OK - but we're off on a tangent here. The crux of my problem is thus: The 2027.20 IMG file I downloaded from NaviTotal and loaded on to multiple Nuvi devices (all of which work just fine with the 2026.20 and the 2026.30 IMG files), is somehow broken. I can NOT search any street address. All streets, cities and states are reported as not found. Can you address that issue? What could that problem be?

Update: I can not speak to the other 269 downloads (who did not report an issue) of the 2027.20 gmapsupp.img file purporting to contain ALL of North America including all of Canada, Mexico and of course Alaska / Hawaii and the islands. When I load this file into any Nuvi, it can not search anything using "address". I can indeed search by category such as fast food restaurants. That file extracted from the RAR is 3.794,176KB

So, I separately downloaded the gmapsupp.img file that you uploaded that purports to contain ONLY the 48 US states and the border provinces of Canada. It does not include Alaska, Hawaii, the rest of Canada, the islands and ALL of Mexico. With all of those areas excluded, that IMG file is much larger at 4,155,136KB. And, I am confirming that it works just fine ... can search anything. It is IMPOSSIBLE that the smaller file covers more geography while including all of the same areas in the larger file.

I'll just re-assert that there is something wrong with the smaller file that supposedly contains ALL of north america. If you don't want to take a look at that yourself (download it and load it up, not an offline copy you have), that's fine. I'll just leave it at that. Thanks for your replies.

I only followed your tangential comment, BTW your yellow highlighted Properties image shows it is in a folder 2026.20.
As I replied before North America Version 2024.10 data exceeded 4 GB so was the first time it was split into US All & Canada & Mexico files.
There are 2 files the US 3.61 GB (3,885,236,224 bytes) and the other covering Canada & Mexico 1.17 GB (1,262,583,808 bytes) Total coverage for North America 4.79 GB (5,147,820,032 bytes).

I guess with your years of experience you will work it out. :023:
