Could someone please post a screenshot of what the folders look like in the NUVI 50 navigation system? I'm having trouble updating and generally uploading maps to the SD card. The navigation system disconnects from time to time, and I'd like to upload the files manually using an SD card reader.

If your device has Lifetime maps for Europe use the "clone" method, copy the garmindevice.xml from your device to a Garmin folder (you will have to create the folder) unplug your nuvi 50 from your PC and use Garmin Express to update the "Clone" SD card. Rename and move as per screenshot.

If not Lifetime maps
On a FAT 32 formatted SD card 16>32GB create a folder called Map.
Download the 2 Unlocked .img files from Post #1
Europe NTU 2027.10 All North
Europe NTU 2027.10 All South
Rename gmapprom.img to gmapsupp.img a copy them to the Map folder
Location of supplemental (on SD card) maps can be found in your garmindevice.xml
<Name>SupplementalMaps</Name>
<File>
<Specification>
<Identifier>IMG</Identifier>
</Specification>
<Location>
<Path>Map</Path>
<BaseName>gmapsupp</BaseName>
<FileExtension>img</FileExtension>
<Extensions>

Hello!
Can I ask for map of Greece?
Can I use this version on old Nuvi 1490? As I understand, address searching may not work properly because of the unicode? But is simple navigation by pointing directly on map work ok? Or better use OpenStreetMap for Garmin?
Thank you!

Many have reported these NTU maps work on older devices, but Greek is a language with many Unicode Characters.
Try this

After you have Patched your device.
Download Southern-Europe and copy and rename as the image below on a FAT 32 SD card.

Hello,
I applied the solution below to use "Garmin City Navigator Europe NT (Unicode) 2027.10" with BaseCamp and it works perfectly.
Unzip the City_Navigator_Europe_NTU_2027_10.gmap folder and copy it to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps
However, does anyone know how to integrate it with a Garmin 1050 GPS?
Thanks…

Post #1 has both .img files but your GPSMAP H1 won't be able to use these unlocked maps like all the other newer devices.

Too bad. Which maps for car navigation would be the best free option?

nuvi 3760 missing files

Postby navigationdk » Sun May 31, 2026 7:56 pm

Today I DL new maps with GE using clone method on 32gb sd card as usual,
but this time got no ASR1, SQLite and JCV files for the Nuvi 3760.
Maybe you know the reason ?
I'm aware that Garmin stopped support for G2S,
but the lack of ASR1, SQLite and JCV seems strange to me.
However I got North and South, 3d and DEM img files :confused:
Any help really appreciated.
TIA

Yes this is Garmin phasing out the 37xx models. I got PhotoReal junction view, available in this thread if you can't.

Thanks for the info.
Just haven't seen any notice about Garmin phasing out the 37xx models features other than G2S.
My other devices got PhotoReal junction files in this update, so it seems very strange my 3760 does not and yours do ?
Do you know if Garmin suspended ASR1 support for all EU devices, or maybe could get it from another unit ?

Another thing, I got a Drive 50 Travel edition, GE states 2027.10 update is available for all continents,
but I only get 2027.10 for Europe, all others (NA, SA, MENA etc.) are 2026.10 and only EU gets JCV files, is that normal ?

AFAIK. the nuvi 3760 didn't come with Junction view straight out of the box, I always added it like the 3790.
I've not seen ASR 1.0 for awhile, I 've tried my nuvi 855 it doesn't get ASR 1.0 either.

These devices have always been an anomaly. My devices acts the same. I did get JCV for Southern Africa and Australia & New Zealand 2027.10

Don't remember having enabled JCV on this 3760, but used to get the files when update with GE.
In my old backup from above device there is D2504010B.sum file, so I think it might be factory enabled from new,
as this JCV file are from CN Europe 2011.20
Just tried google Nuvi 3760 junction view, and there are plenty results state it has split screen feature from factory.
Also it's strange you get them for your 3760 (according to your picture) and I don't.

Tried DL Southern Africa and Australia & New Zealand 2027.10 for my Drive 50,
this time AU & NZ was indeed 2027.10 edition but SA are 2026.20 even GE states it should be 2027.10 :think:
Still no JCV files for any of them :wallbash:
